# How does Strategy Samurai count “days” in the trading history?

For each of the filters you can specify a period in days to use as a look-back period, for e.g. to only look at the trading history in last 7 days (for that filter).

Strategy Samurai uses the brokers server time, as reported in the Market Watch window, for its calculations and Strategy Samurai counts 1 day as 24 hours. That means if for example the current server time was 24 Nov 2020 at 2000, and the look back days for a filter was set as "7", Strategy Samurai would look at all closed trades since 17 Nov 2020 at 2000, exactly 7 days, for its calculations.
