Strategy Samurai v1.01 has been released and it’s quite a large update. Here is the changelog for the new version:

Let’s go over some of the important changes!

New: Added StartingBalanceOverride input (only used for drawdown calculations)

This is an input that will be used for planned future drawdown percent metrics such as CurrentDrawdownPercent. This input will allow us to accurately transpose our account drawdown to a much more realistic number. For e.g. if you have a $5,000,000 incubator account and you are trading 0.01 lot size it is going to be a very tiny number! By setting a balance override we can keep our drawdown calculations consistent independent of the incubator account balance (assuming the trade lot size is consistent).

There are now 5 new filter metrics added! These can be used in each individual filter, to sort, and can also be viewed in the CSV files. Thanks to Hannah from our Slack group for the Avg Profit / Loss Ratio filter to determine between convergent and divergent strategies!

You can now see at a glance how many strategies are in the allowed list!

Strategy Samurai now displays its current version and whether there is an update available. It will also display when the next license check is. There is also now a black background with the Strategy Samurai logo for easier chart identification.

New: Added ability to filter columns in CSV files

Don’t care for some of the columns in the CSV files? No problem! Now you can turn them off to only display the ones you care about.

The CSV files now output a legend in the first column. A “*” indicates that magic was approved for all filters. A “+” indicates that magic was approved for that specific filter only (LONG, MEDIUM or SHORT).

There is also now a combined Approved Portfolio row which displays the approved magic trades combined order history since inception! This tells you what the result would have been if you had traded the current approved magics since the beginning!

And finally, Strategy Samurai can now group by Symbol!
